Product Review: Nivea Daily Essentials Oil Free Moisturising Day Cream

I ♡ NIVEA

It’s no secret that Nivea are smashing it at the moment. With the release of lots of great new products; I can’t get enough!

I’m personally loving their Oily & Combination skin care products. I struggle so much, especially with moisturisers, to find one that actually works for me. I find a lot of the ones I’ve tried to just make things worse! However, with this Oil-Free Day Cream, I think I’ve finally found my holy grail!

Claims

  • moisturise
  • regulate oil
  • shine reduction
  • doesn’t clog pores
  • revitalise the skin
  • protects the skin [SPF 8]

Are Those Claims Right?

I would certainly agree that my skin feel moisturised – the product isn’t greasy and sinks into the skin pretty well. I like way my skin feels to the touch after using it. It doesn’t feel like I’ve got anything on at all!

There has also been a noticeable difference in how shiny my skin has been since I’ve been using it. By the end of the day, my makeup is staying put and I don’t look like an oil-slick nowhere near as much!

I certainly don’t think it clogs up the pores – my spots are still relatively the same. They are hormone related, and my skin care helps but doesn’t seem to determine whether I get spots or not unfortunately! It definitely doesn’t leave me feeling clogged up like some heavier creams do.

The Oil-Free Day Cream is definitely good at improving the condition of my skin. Across my cheeks and my forehead, it is noticeably smoother and less patchy, which is great!
