Skin Saviours: My Blemish-Reducing Routine

SPOTS SUCK…

We all know it. We all despise them when they rear their ugly head. And we all try thousands of different ways to get rid of them. Blemish reducing is definitely one of the key points of skin care for someone with spot prone skin!

Recently, however, my skin has been improving quite considerably. I think it’s down to the combination of products I am using working in harmony. To be honest, I mix up my routine quite a lot! I’m always keen to try new products as my main aim is to have the clearest skin possible!

It’s the most important element to me personally. I want to look healthy and fresh-faced, and a great base is key. Beauty comes from being happy and healthy, and makeup is the cherry on the cake!

Read about my three wonder products – which are all massive bargains! Superdrug has a huge sale on so many of its products at the moment, so it’s time to stock up! [https://www.superdrug.com/]

Face Wash – Garnier Pure Foam Wash – Combination Skin [£2.95]

I’ve been using this face wash for around a month now, and I’ve been really impressed. It’s such a bargain buy, and it leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean, and not tight or dry. Often you can end up being more oily due to the stripping nature of some products, but I don’t feel this one works that way.

It smells pretty good too – I love clean smelling skin care, rather than perfumed or sweet products. I’m not really sure why, I think it just makes them seem more medicinal rather than superficial!

the perfect face wash for those with combination skin - garnier refreshing botanical gel wash with aloe extract

Micellar Water – Nivea Daily Essentials Sensitive Micellar Water [currently £1.99! normally £2.95]

I am obsessed with this Micellar Water, and I’ve talked about it countless times in my posts. It’s the best one I’ve ever used; it cleanses deeply, removes all traces of makeup, and doesn’t leave my face feeling aggravated. It’s perfect for toning the skin after a face wash too.

I use this day and night and I love it. I’ve never had any problems with it, and I recommend it to my family and friends all the time. I’m going to be stocking up on some bottles whilst it’s on offer!

Moisturiser – Nivea Daily Essentials Oil Free Day Cream [currently £1.95! normally £3.99]

Also a bargain, this day cream has been working wonders for my skin. It’s really soothing and rehydrating, and soaks straight into the skin. It leaves me feeling intensely moisturised, as Nivea products often do.

It’s also a great base for makeup. Leave it for a couple of minutes to soak in, and then go for it. My makeup seems to be staying in place a lot better too!

I like Nivea products; they tend to smell amazing, and be great at rehydrating the skin! I like the price tag too – I can always afford to treat myself to their latest and greatest!

the best moisturiser I've used in years! Nivea Oil Free Day Cream

There you have it, my skin saviour routine! I’ve noticed a real difference in how clear my skin is, and it seems to be smoother on my cheeks and under my eyes. The combination of these products seems to work and I’m going to be using the entirety of that bottle of Nivea Day Cream for sure! – check out my full review here Product Review: Nivea Daily Essentials Oil Free Moisturising Day Cream
