The New Year Is All About Fresh Perspectives + Positive Goals!
Positive affirmations are really useful when it comes to keeping motivated, happy and inspired. They can make all the difference, and I aim to have them around my house, on my computer and phone, and just about anywhere I might see them!
They are great to focus on when it comes to looking forward to the new year. I love when a new year rolls around, and to be honest, I’m quite happy to see the back of 2017. I’ve had some serious positives, such as starting my blog and getting engaged, and of course I am so grateful for those. But this has been one of the worst years I’ve had mental health wise. I was so anxious and stressed that I had to give up my full-time job in September.
I’m seeing a counsellor, and working on mindfulness, exercise and looking after myself, and I’m really looking forward to starting a new year with a clean slate. I really want this to my year and get things back on track!
I decided to write this post because we all need a good boost of happiness and mindfulness, especially at this time of year. These are the things I’ll be thinking of, remembering, and focusing on over the next 12 months.

This is one of my favourite positive quotes. It really helps me to feel encouraged, on the days where I know I’ve got things to offer the world! There is no reason whatsoever that we shouldn’t be able to accomplish our dreams, and this quote just encompasses that feeling for me.
Another great quote, especially for entrepreneurs and small business owners. So often in our world it can be easy to feel overwhelmed and that our dreams are too daunting to chase after. This quote helps me feel like these things are good and exciting and I shouldn’t be afraid of them!
This quote really means a lot to me, because it can be hard to keep strong during the tough times. It’s great for giving you the boost and realising that you are tough, and you can handle the things life throws at you! Don’t ever let things get you down, and keep on fighting for the life you deserve.
I love this affirmation, and always do my best to keep it in my mind. On the days where you feel like you’re lagging behind and you can’t compete, you need to remember this. No matter what, every little step you take it taking you towards your end goal. Keep moving, and things will happen!
This final quote is something I really want to keep hold of in the new year. No matter what, we can always start fresh the very next day. We can change our perspective, and just go for it again!
