The Ultimate Blog Marketing Planner You Need For Your Online Biz!
The Best Way To Stay In Control Of Your Blog’s Marketing Strategy
When you get going with your blog, you’re going to want to create a marketing strategy to get your blog posts out there. It’s a huge part of growing your blog and taking it more seriously.
If you are serious about growing your blog, then you need to get the right eyes on your content. One of the best ways to do this is to create a marketing strategy, where you have a plan of how you’re getting your content out there.
It’s not only about getting your posts out there, but in front of people who are interested or invested in your topics, and want to read original, ground-breaking content from you!
I’m going to share with you my top tips for managing your digital marketing strategy using everything I’ve learnt since starting All In My Head.
Be 100% Truthful About Where You’re At Right Now
Before you can start working on a marketing strategy, you need to pin point exactly where you’re at right now.
Take a look at your stats using Google Analytics, and focus on where your traffic is coming from – this shows how people are finding your blog. Not only that, but it shows where you’re making the biggest impact already.
If lots are people are clicking through to your blog from Facebook, then think about how you’re marketing your blog on Facebook. Are you using your own business page? Or are you participating in groups? Or using your normal Facebook profile page?
Dig deep into the data and work out exactly what you’re doing and how things are currently progressing.
Once you know more about what’s happening at the moment, you’ll be able to work on the things that need working on.
Find A Blog Marketing Planner That Does The Work For You
This is where I’m going to give a little pitch for my awesome blog marketing planner! It takes out the hard work of setting up a spreadsheet with lots of different sheets for each of the things you need to track.
I decided to create a version of the exact marketing planner I use myself, and use Etsy to sell it because I know how it can feel completely overwhelming trying to create one yourself.
Nothing puts people off more than getting lost in an endless cycle of wanting to do something but feeling completely lost on how to begin, or what you even need to include.
With my BMP, you can jump straight into planning and working on your digital marketing strategy, without having to faff around trying to get the right sheets to work the way you want them to.
What You’ll Find Inside:
In the BMP, you’ll find different sheets to help you plan all kinds of areas of your blog, and will also help you keep track of everything. You’ll see…
- a sheet to keep track of all your blog posts, the URL to make it easy to share without scrolling through your entire blog, and the date you last shared it on each of your social media accounts
- a place to track all of your social media and affiliate links, so that they’re always easy to find and include in lots of different places when you need to
- an area to track all of your outstanding work with guest posts, when your deadlines are, the links to them for future, and the contact details of the person you’re writing for – making the whole thing so much easier to manage
- and more tools to help you stay in control of your marketing, with space to add additional sheets and options should you need it. It’s 100% customisable!

How To Use A Blog Marketing Planner To Grow Your Blog

It just makes the whole blogging thing much easier too – no need to search for five minutes to find the blog post URL you need, no need to stress about that affiliate program that you can’t log in to in a rush, and no more worrying about how often you’re reading your favourite blog posts or missing updates.
By keeping it open at all times when you’re working on your online biz, you can pull up the details you need in seconds.
The less time you waste on those little details, the better. It gives you much more time to focus on the important things.
Focusing On Your Biggest Strengths
It’s really important that you focus on your blog’s strengths, and work on building those up rather than chasing the things that aren’t working.
If you don’t see ANY traffic from Twitter, but you are seeing a lot of traction from Instagram, then focus on that instead of chasing after non-existent readers elsewhere.
The more you focus on the things that are currently working, the more impact you’ll see!
People that are actually interested in your content are clicking through because that’s where they’re hanging out. As such, that’s where you need to be. If you need to tweak the blog marketing planner, then you’re completely able to do that.
It gives you the options, the starting point, and you can build from there to create arguably the most useful tool for your blog.
Why You Need To Work On Digital Marketing To Reach The Right People
Promoting your blog content is SO important when it comes to building a successful blog. Whilst it can feel pushy and egotistical, it really isn’t!
You create content because you want people to read it, and maybe 10 years ago the whole “build it and they will come” mentality might have worked.
But in 2018, you need to promote your content and get it out there so that people actually read it.
Use the tools and services out there, learn about SEO and Pinterest marketing, get on your top referring social media platforms, and shout about your awesome content!
You have to be your own cheerleader, because you do have something special to offer the world.
The content you create is always 100% original (or it should be!) and it deserves to be seen by the right people.
Marketing and content creation go hand in hand, and should work on a 80/20 basis. Spend 80% of your time promoting that kick arse content you just created, and watch the returns it brings!
I’d love for you to use my blog marketing planner, as I really believe it will take all the stress out of creating a marketing strategy. If you are thinking about it, you can check it out in more detail here >> AllInMyHeadCreations Blog Marketing Planner on Etsy.
